It is often undecided if formal education is either overrated or underrated as a tool for success. In most communities a decent life can achieved even without a formal college education. We are also bombarded by stories of billionaires who became successful even without a formal college education. It is not very surprising for young people to start working right after high school. Some work because they need to and are unable to spend more money for college. Some quit school because they do not see education as a very important part in ensuring their success.
And in some cases this is true. A college degree does not guarantee you a successful career. In fact some of the successful businessmen today did not finish college. Some of the biggest stars started working right after high school. But this includes a lot of hard work and luck. Luck plays about a 50% role in this because you will need to come up with something no one else has thought of to be successful. Sometimes even this is not enough.
While it may sound surreal, enrolling in a Bachelors Program and finishing it does not hamper you from achieving your dream. It gives you the framework on how you increase the chances of your success. A Bachelor's degree gives you the option to have a decent earning job while working on your dreams. Almost all tertiary education institutions offer Bachelors' Programs you can enroll in to broaden your horizons and give you the knowledge you need. If you are really serious about your dream, then enrolling in a bachelors program can give you a career you can return to if your ideas don't materialize. And we all know that stars made it through hard work and luck, but we don't hear about those who did not make it. Education is a long and painstaking process. Every part of it is hard earned and needs focus for you to advance your goals in life. But this can never be achieved without the role of educational programs that would be a guide in every man's quest. Many schools like the universities, colleges, foundations and the like offer the kind of education that every individual needs to be able to face the realities of life.
Even before actually joining the high school graduation exercises, high school students are already checking out their options on the next education level, college. Sure there are a lot of colleges and universities in every state, but not all of them may fit the career track you are hoping to build. Some may have financial limitations and would opt to go to community colleges or even take college degree online. Whichever mode of college education is chosen there are a lot of bachelors' programs available to choose from. There are two main categories of bachelors program: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. Bachelor of Arts is a degree attained after three to four years of studying a specific field, for example, Philosophy or Communication Arts. Bachelor of Science, on the other hand, typically takes at least four years, and sometimes five, to be completed. Both degrees may be used as stepping stone to the Masters degree courses.
Taking online bachelors programs has nowadays become a good and practical option especially for students who do not have enough money or time to go to a university. The online option allows these students to do more things to their time, like getting a part time job. It allows students to save by not spending for transfers from home to school and back, spend money for lunch breaks or any other breaks, and spending money to buy clothes to be worn daily when going to school. Someone having completed bachelors programs is also more marketable than those who have stopped in college. More opportunities are available for degree holders. It is important to note that regardless of the method of education chosen, traditional or online, having a degree gives the degree holder more and more opportunities to succeed in the field that he or she has chosen to take.
